Arts + Crafts Making Sessions

This FREE 5-week course aimed at anyone aged 7+ years (all children must be accompanied by an adult) will introduce you to different making techniques to build big, bold and beautiful things.

Sessions will be led by our artist-in-residence Janine Walker, and offer you simple step-by-step processes to work individually and in groups to explore a range of new artistic methods and materials.

Aimed at people of all ages, abilities and experience-levels, workshops will be held in our Mezz space and offer plenty of opportunities for social as well as creative connections.

We hope to build a core group of participants interested in developing making skills of all kinds to consider how to increase our visual impact in the building, on our stages and as part of parades and festivals for the future.

Janine Walker is an artist/maker based in Fleetwood with a background in 3D Design Crafts.  She creates ambitious sculptures, lanterns and puppets for parades and festivals. These sessions are popular but numbers are limited to ensure we can provide a high quality experience for all who attend.

If you register for these sessions, you will ideally be able to attend all five. If you are not able to make a workshop, please do let us know in advance so that we can open out to wider range of participants.
