These sessions are aimed at adults who have some previous experience of or training in performance already.
We will work physically, intellectually and collaboratively each week to build skills, knowledge and confidence, through a range of theatre-based techniques.
All sessions take place in our theatre space and provide a fun, safe environment where experimentation is encouraged and respected and where you are challenged to try things outside of your comfort zone. You will be given the opportunity to focus on your individual creative development as well as being part of a group and working collectively.
Between January and April 2022 we will work specifically on Shakespeare’s plays and explore a dynamic range of techniques to get under the skin of his characters, language and how to bring these old stories to life for modern audiences.
This is a 12-week course so participants are encouraged to register for one of the 20 places and then attend each week, as knowledge will be built up cumulatively over time and participants will be encouraged to draw on their previous weeks’ experiences to share something in front of peers and invited guests on Wednesday 13 April ’22.
There will be no session during half-term week; Wednesday 16 February 2022.
Aimed at anyone ages 18 and over.
