TRAIN: Freelancing 101

Jean Atkinson is a Chartered Marketer, Fellow of the CIM, and the person businesses call when they’re done messing around with marketing that doesn’t work.

She’ll address the fundamental questions every freelancer faces:
How prepared am I for a life of freelancing? What legal and financial considerations do I need to understand?

How do I identify my marketable skills and position them effectively? What pricing structure works best for my business? How do I find and retain quality clients? How can I create systems that support sustainable growth?

Payment for attendance as a participant at these sessions is £75.00 on submission of invoice after the event. It is aimed that some aspects of these sessions will be available online after the event for a wider group of participants to engage with on a self-directed pathway.

All applications for this session must be submitted by 9am, Thursday 24 September 2026. Successful applicants will be notified by 5pm on Thursday 1 October 2026.
