The Red King

Event details

13 August 2021 at 7:00 pm 7:30 pm

£4.00 per ticket

Life, what is it but a dream?

Step through the Looking Glass into a world where everything is backwards and the society is a giant game of chess.

A modern re-telling of Lewis Carroll’s beloved second Alice adventure, this intimate studio-style show explores the journey of a young pawn into the confusing and often contradictory world of adulthood.

Everyone wants to become the most powerful piece on the board, but what challenges will they face and what sacrifices will they make to get there? Meanwhile the Red King sits, dreaming the whole world into existence. What would happen if he woke up, and does anyone have the nerve to find out?

This piece of new writing will be performed only once to a limited audience, so book your ticket in advance and be part of an exclusive experience that combines drama, performance poetry, movement and song.

This show is approximately 30 minutes in length.

Written by Luke Berryman with Poetry by Dean Tsang.
